Bartlett Ward is an 18 bedded acute ward which is developing to provide an acute respiratory service for both infective and non-infective patients. We have a current nurse to patient ratio of 1 to 6 in the day and 1 to 9 at night, this is set
to decrease to account for higher acuity. We are in the process of appointing a clinical ward Sister who will undertake on ward training and development. This in addition to the hospital having its own nurse education department that links in with a UK university, funding is generous for academic development for BSc, Masters and Doctorate. Ideally we are seeking those with experience of NIV, COVID-19 and acute respiratory, however training and competency is available for those with general acute, HDU and emergency care experience.
