The postholder will usually work during the evening at a Youth Project on a Friday evening 7.15 - 10.15pm under direction, with young people through purposeful and planned youth work sessions and programmes so that young people can engage in new activities and experiences, feel supported and valued, have an understanding of the needs of others and have a voice, influence in the projects they attend and the community they live in during the period of their transition from dependence to independence.
Applicants should already have completed the Introduction to JYS session, the Youth Work Essentials Course and have 6 months Youth Work experience.
