This is an exciting opportunity to join an established team as an Education Welfare Officer.
Education Welfare Officers work closely with individual children, young people, parents and carers, providing sometimes intensive support to remove barriers to attending school. You will also work co-operatively with schools supporting strategies to promote a whole school focus on excellent attendance.
The role also includes delivering the Safeguarding Partnership Board, Safeguarding Foundation Training to education colleagues. In addition the delivery of a rights based programme to young children in primary schools called ‘Keeping Myself Safe and Well’.
