This role is based within the Enforcement Team at Customer and Local Services Department.
The successful applicant will be part of a small team but must also be able to work automatously in a clear and organised manner.
The Inspector's remit is to Prevent, Detect, investigate and where appropriate, refer for prosecution breaches of Social Security Benefit laws; analyse and collate the results of investigations and recover losses.
Inspectors detect fraud to identify erroneous benefit claims which in turn reduces the overall benefit spend.
