An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Alcohol and Drug Service for a Substance Misuse Nurse Practitioner. The successful applicant will provide evidence based, intensive and specialist support primarily to service users under our Opiate Substitution Treatment programme. The post holder will also provide comprehensive assessments, treatment programmes and relapse prevention support to Islanders who use other drugs and drink at high risk or dependent levels. The successful candidate will join an established multi-disciplinary team, whilst being expected to work autonomously in the community setting, managing a varying caseload of clients. The job is open to Level 1 Nurses with a RMN or RGN qualification and have 2 years experience in working with people with substance misuse problem.
