The Probation Service is looking to appoint a full time Probation Officer. The successful applicant will be a qualified Probation Officer or Social Worker. The post holder will be required to provide a high quality information service to courts, prisons and parish hall enquiries. A significant part of the role will include the supervision of clients in the criminal justice system including those who are managed through public protection and safeguarding forums. The role will involve working with children and adults in the community and custodial settings. Applicants should possess highly developed written and analytical skills together with an ability to build positive relationships with clients that promotes rehabilitation and desistance from crime.
