The successful applicant will ideally be a qualified Probation Officer or Social Worker. However, we are also interested in considering applications from students in the final year of their social work degree.The post holder will be required to provide a high quality information service to courts, prisons and parish hall enquiries. A significant part of the role will include the supervision of clients in the criminal justice system including those who are managed through public protection and safeguarding forums. The role will involve working with children and adults in the community and custodial settings. Applicants should possess highly developed written and analytical skills together with an ability to build positive relationships with clients that promotes rehabilitation and desistance from crime. Regular evening work will be required.
