The Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist will work within the Directorate of Children’s Services. This is a new post and the post holder will work with the other 2 WTE Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists to provide a full range of services. The post is based on 6 programmed activities a week.
The post holder will work primarily from Royde House, a town house in St Helier which provides both office space and interview rooms for the multi-disciplinary team. There will be dedicated secretarial support.

The purpose of that Panel is determine the place of detention for any person aged 17 or under who is remanded in custody or sentenced. The Panel must ensure that, in making a placement decision, the best interests of children and young people are the paramount consideration.
The two independent members, who will work on a voluntary basis, must have a proven track record of working with children and young people.

The Contract Manager will lead on the day to day management of a portfolio of high cost contracts for children with complex needs. The children may be receiving their package of care either on-island or also off-island.
