The wheelchair service are looking for a technician to work full time in the wheelchair centre. The centre undertakes repairs and maintans a wide range of loaned wheelcharis and mechanical and electrial equipment loaned by Jersey States. The post holder will need trade technical qualifications with experience in workshop practices and techniques. They will need basic supervisory skills to manage clients in the workshop with good interpersonal skills and the ability to communcate with peopel on all levels. Applicants will require a full clean driving license and the physical ablity to carry out manual duties. Previous mechanical background or experience will be an advantage.

Stop Smoking Nurse Practitioner at States of Jersey
Are you a registered nurse who is passionate about supporting people to improve their health? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Stop Smoking Nurse Practitioner to join the Stop Smoking Service. Smoking still has an impact on people in Jersey with 120 deaths a year attributed to smoking. The good news is that providing evidence based stop smoking support increases chances of successfully quitting by three times. You’ll work autonomously in nurse led clinics with clients referred from secondary care and others who need intensive behavioural and pharmacological support including: people with long term physical and mental health problems, pregnant women, entrenched smokers and prisoners. Applicants must be a Registered Nurse or Midwife with 4 years’ experience and have completed or be prepared to undertake stop smoking specialist training and NCSCT accredited stop smoking modules.
