The hospital safeguarding team are looking to appoint a number of safeguarding posts. This research post is based in MASH, line managed by the Islands Designated Nurse. It is an operational post and will involve working closely with the MASH Nurse (employed by Health) and health visitor (employed by FNHC). It is expected that the researcher will task other agencies for information and will collate the information in a timely way for nurses. The nurses will then analyse the information and complete paperwork with all the relevant health information to safeguard children and young people. The post will require a sound understanding of safeguarding principles and policies and the ability to work in partnership with other agencies to protect vulnerable children and young people.
