We are seeking a motivated and skilled parent infant psychotherapist to join our team with a focus on improving the outcomes for children in their early years. Although the post is physically located within the CAMHS team a key aspect of the role is to work in partnership with practitioners across the island who are focusing on early years provision. Parent-infant interaction is known to be a significant factor in infant mental health. Government policy internationally is increasingly emphasising the importance of early intervention and this reflects an increased recognition at a policy level that both health and social inequalities have their origins in early parent-infant interaction.
For an informal discussion please contact Dr Laura Birtwistle on 445030.
