The States of Jersey Prison Service has a number of full-time permanent vacancies available for Prison Officer (Operations). As a Prison Officer (Operations) you will assist in ensuring the provision of a safe and secure environment for all categories of prisoners. Responsibilities include managing the perimeter and internal security of the prison, carrying out external prisoner escorts, supervising prisoner’s visits, acting as a first point of contact for members of the public and undertaking night duties. Applicants must be in good health and be physically fit, as any offer of appointment will be subject to satisfactory medical clearance and a fitness test, which will be repeated annually to a required standard, as set by the Jersey Prison Service.
